It’s THE topic of the moment. Whether it’s healthcare, finance or the automotive industry, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionising a whole host of sectors, and events are no exception! The latest edition of Viva Tech proved the point. YourDay was there to tell you how Artificial Intelligence is transforming the way we entertain, to deliver an even more memorable experience for everyone.

AI, a playground for enhancing the guest experience

AI in the event industry offers a multitude of tools to enrich the experience of each guest. Proof of this was provided by the Louis avatar, developed by start-up Jumbo Mana, which was present at Vivatech to provide real-time assistance to participants. It’s an ideal innovation for guiding people through the programme of a professional event. Don’t your participants speak the same language? That’s no longer a problem, thanks to real-time automated translation that makes your conferences accessible to everyone. AI goes even further, thanks to the collaboration between IVèS, Sopra Steria and IBM, who announced at Viva Tech the creation of the first conversational assistant for the deaf and hearing-impaired, enabling them to communicate in sign language.

When it comes to activities, Artificial Intelligence opens up a whole new world of innovative, fun playgrounds. Whether it’s an augmented reality treasure hunt, a virtual escape game with riddles generated by an algorithm, or a live interactive quiz with prizes based on your guests’ preferences, the possibilities are endless. Gamification, a major trend developed thanks to AI, can be used to challenge, entertain and engage participants in an event. The Agence Française des Jeux Vidéos (French Video Games Agency) forecasts that the gamification market will grow by 32%, with total sales estimated at 40 billion dollars by 2024.

AI in the events sector, at the service of organisers

As well as being a real added value for guests, AI in events is also proving to be a real ally for organisers. Thanks to predictive analysis tools and algorithms, it can help them save a considerable amount of time by relieving them of time-consuming tasks.

Calculating the number of resources needed in real time as the number of participants increases, designing a seating plan based on information about the guests, optimising logistics based on everyone’s diaries to coordinate all the different players involved in the event… Once again, there are many solutions available, enabling companies to save precious time by integrating them into their existing tools, such as YourDay.

Using AI in events like YourDay is reinventing the sector, for guests and organisers alike. This will pave the way for a new era of ever more personalised and innovative events.
