You are the founder of Champmarket. Can you introduce us to this website ?

Arnaud Molin : Champmarket is an e-commerce website entirely dedicated to champagne and its art of living. Champagne Only ! Since 2010, we have been promoting this exceptional wine through our digital platform Champmarket.com, thanks to which companies and individuals can offer and have delivered, in France and in Europe, the essential vintages of the great Houses or the brands to discover.

Why this slogan “the gift without taste mistakes » ?

A.M : Because champagne is THE ideal gift, a sure value that can be offered without any lack of taste. In 2022, we launched a new gift experience through a range of champagne boxes and have had very good feedback from our customers who appreciate the “Wow” effect of our exclusive boxes: chic boxes, personalization, attentions… so that the pleasure is as much to give as to receive !

Why undertake in this particular sector ?

A.M : After a long and enriching professional experience in an agency, in the data and customer knowledge fields that I am passionate about, I felt like starting my own business. The Champmarket project was born in 2010. With my wife, who quickly joined me in the adventure, we wanted to promote Champagne wines. Unique know-how 100% French through our marketing expertise to accompany the champagne houses on these topics.

Is champagne an essential part of the art of entertaining ?

A.M : Yes, without a doubt. For centuries, champagne has been associated with celebration and conviviality. It is often served at special occasions such as weddings, birthdays and holiday parties. Champagne is obviously delicious. But it also adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to any occasion. It also has the particularity of being served at any time of the day, whether as an aperitif or with a meal.

Is this really a way for individuals and companies to enhance their guests ?

A.M : Serving champagne can show your guests that you care about them and want to give them a memorable experience. It can help create a festive atmosphere and leave a lasting impression. Yes, I think champagne is an essential part of entertaining and can add a touch of glamour and elegance to any occasion.

What’s good reception ?

A.M : It’s an art! When it comes to champagne, the art of entertaining requires mastering the art of serving wine, which follows certain codes to ensure that the tasting experience is ideal. For example, it is recommended to “present” the champagne to your guests by showing them the label, while accompanying the gesture with a few words about the champagne tasted. It is customary to fill the glass only halfway or, at most, two-thirds full to allow the aromas to develop perfectly. Do not hesitate to re-serve frequently, to refresh the champagne, but above all to offer the spectacle of the joyous rise of the bubbles !

“I think it is important to find the right balance between digital interactions and interactions face to face to provide a complete and fully satisfying customer experience”

In your opinion, do hospitality and digital technology go well together? ?

A.M : I think so. Digital technologies have greatly expanded the possibilities for interaction and communication between companies and their customers. They offer new opportunities to improve the user experience. Businesses can also use these tools to provide personalised information and services to their customers, improving the overall experience. However, it seems important to me to find the right balance between digital interactions and interactions face to face  to provide a complete and fully satisfying customer experience.

What are the essential qualities to welcome your guests well ?

A.M : I would say that you have to be both attentive and considerate. Want to please your guests while sharing a bit of yourself and your tastes. According to my experience, the best moments I have experienced as a guest have been rich in flavors, smells, colors, exchanges and discoveries.

Do other countries have the same feeling with Champagne ? Wich ?

A.M : Although champagne is produced exclusively in France, it is also enjoyed in many other countries around the world. It is consumed for festive and special occasions, regardless of country or culture. After France, the United Kingdom is the largest market. The United States is also an important market. With steadily increasing consumption in recent years, followed by Japan and Germany. In emerging countries like China, Russia and Brazil, champagne is becoming increasingly popular. It is considered a symbol of luxury and celebration.

Champagne is therefore a safe bet ?

A.M : This is the case, for several reasons. It is very often associated with celebrations. There is a “tradition” of champagne for major events. All this contributes to the reputation of champagne as a safe bet, for all occasions in life.
